Another firm's work on this computer

If this computer was linked to one Taxably firm and then to another, Taxably keeps the first firm's client work apart and builds nothing until you choose how to settle it.

Taxably says:

This computer holds another Taxably firm's client work, so nothing will be built or answered here until that is settled.

It happens when a computer that built prep sheets for one firm is linked to a different firm, for example a computer passed between two practices. Taxably keeps each firm's clients apart, so nothing of the first firm's work is shown, built, searched or sent while this computer is linked to the second.

If this computer should belong to the first firm

  1. Open Settings, then Your Taxably account.
  2. Press Unlink this computer, and confirm.
  3. Link it again, signing in to the first firm's account.

The first firm's work is there as it was.

If it should belong to the firm it is linked to now

  1. Open Settings and find Reset under Controls. Read the description under it; it says what goes and what stays.

The Controls card in Settings while this computer holds another firm's work: Reset says it removes this computer's records of that firm's client work, and lists what is kept. 2. Press Reset, then press it again to confirm. 3. Connect your folders and build your clients.

Reset removes the other firm's work from this computer only. Their documents, and the prep sheets delivered to their own folders, are not touched.
